Good Rod and other things I missed

I just realized that I was supposed to get the good rod in Route 08 when I re-read the walkthrough last night. Now I can't go back there because of the event. Is there any other place where I can get it? Or other rods?

Also, I missed a place in Route 09 where you need the Pixel Badge to enter it. What did I miss there? What other events could I have possibly missed from Route 08 to Vinoville Town?

Well there was a sidequest about getting a S51 and some other pokemon on that route.

Thankfully, I got that one. Good thing I was playing at night.
EDIT: Wait, were there other pokemon in side quest/s aside from the S51?

I meant like there were some pokemon on route 8 that can only be caught there, such as misdreavus.

I got S51, Misdreavus, Ekans, Barand, and Cottonee in there. Anything I missed? Having missed the good rod, was there any unique water pokemon in there?

I´ve almost completed the pokedex, I only need to evolve a few of them. All of this without the good rod, so it´s not an essential item (yet).
