Saving causes uranium to stop responding?

Okay, so I just downloaded Uranium a few days ago, and when I attempt to save my progress, it causes the game to stop responding and I have to close it and lose all my progress. I'm not really sure what I did wrong while downloading, but I can't seem to find any solution to this problem (even looked at the second page of google lol). Any help is appreciated!
