They receive many emails with save files to be fixed and do their best to get to all of them. However, there are only two of them and they are also working on fixing these kinds of bugs and developing new content for the game in addition to trying to fix save files. You can be patient and wait for a reply with a fix, or you can start a second save file in the meantime.
