Help! Mystery Gift won't work!

I tried to to get the Shiny Baashaun/Misdreavus Mystery Gifts, but when I go to the PokeMart, the guy isn't there. Someone please help me out! PLEASE HELP!

When you download the Mystery Gifts, do you immediately start the file you downloaded them to and go to the mart? I've noticed that if you download them on one file, then change to another, you'll have to redownload them on the first one.
Which mart are you going to? Have you tried another one?

Im in the town of the first gym. Im only using my first file. I have no others.

There is a problem exclusively with that one in Nowtoch City. You will be able to get your gift in Kevlar Town just fine.

the wiki says that eevee is also a mystery gift .... is that true or is some one pulling legs ...?

Shiny Eevee used to be on mystery gift, but it's been changed to Baashaun/Misdreavus, iirc.
