Shiny Hunting
Hey there, I was curious to see what your favourite shiny was in the game, so I can Shiny Hunt for him. I haven't seen any shinies except for S51 line, Modrille line and the starters. I couldn't find them on the web so if guys could show me your favourite shiny, I'll try to Shiny Hunt for it! Since both my Drilgann and S51-A are Lv. 100, there's nothing more to do, because I don't want to level my others that high yet and this looked to me like a cool option instead!
Re: Shiny Hunting
I personally like the Baashaun line's shiny sprites.
I was lucky enough to actually find the Baaschaf in-game. The Baashaun is from an older mystery gift.
Also, shiny Nucleon is pretty cool.
This one came from a shiny Eevee mystery gift.

Re: Shiny Hunting
I knew how Shiny Baashaun line looks, because of that in future I plan recapture/breed Mareep and Baashaun as Shiny with competitive natures for them and nice IV or couple IVs.Bocajian wrote:I personally like the Baashaun line's shiny sprites.

BTW from what generation is Shiny rates here: 2nd gen or 3rd - 5th gens or 6th gen?
Re: Shiny Hunting
The shiny rate is about 1 in 8000, 3rd-5th gen mechanics. However, the Masuda method is in the game (breeding with traded Pokemon doubles the rate of shinies hatching).
Re: Shiny Hunting
3rd - 5th gens wild Shiny rate is suppose to be 1/8192. Masuda method which one was invented in 4th gen had 5/8192 rate, and since 5th gen and still up to day is now 6/8192.Involuntary Twitch wrote:The shiny rate is about 1 in 8000, 3rd-5th gen mechanics. But would be nice if Shiny rate would risen to 6th gen standards 1/4096.

I think not, but try read this for confirm it.WubbaG wrote:Will the chance increase further if a parent is Shiny?
Re: Shiny Hunting
I'd say look for a shiny Selkid. Sirentide/Mega Sirentide get such an improvement (even if it's only a slight colour difference).

He said about 1 in 8000. Last time I checked 8192 is about 8000. And I am sure they have their reasons for making it 3-5 gen shiny rate. I personally like it better as when you do get a shiny it is worth even more.

Re: Shiny Hunting
Actually, it's quite a bit more. I believe it was done that way to give you an alternate method to just simply running around in tall grass for a while (since breeding takes so much longer). But in 6th gen they made it possible to get double that chance (since they doubled the shiny encounter rate and added hoards (which make you encounter 5 Pokemon)). Sorry if that was hard to follow.WubbaG wrote:So breeding with Traded Pokémon make it 1/4096? Nice! I'll try!

That's too bad... Currently I'm not playing Uranium anymore. Just waiting for the next update!
