Quick Question: Is my game going to reset?

Hey friends, quick question;
Now that the new update has been released, I assume I have to re-download my game in order to see the effects of it. Is my entire game going to reset? Will I have to start from the beginning?

If not, how do I go about installing the new update?

I'm sure this has been answered and explained somewhere else, but you guys are pretty speedy with answering questions.

Actually, as of the newer versions, there is a patcher program that immediately gives you updates just by running it without the need for redownloading. And you do not need to restart from the beginning either, as your save file is maintained through versions.
