Shiny Finding Items?

My suggestion is simple really. A new item, sold at a store for a lot of money, or won at the casino, that when used, makes the next few battles, or X steps, have a better chance of being a Shiny pokemon. It wouldn't be a good chance, but slight increases gives people a reason to buy it, and gives a good incentive for money even after beating everything.

Still new to Uranium really, so I'm not sure if something like this exists, or there is a good way to use your money later in the game, but just thought I would throw this idea out there.

I think DP had something like this. It was actually a Pokemon finder (it would indicate patches of grass where Pokemon were for guaranteed encounters) but it would also indicate differently for rare Pokemon and for shiny Pokemon. Didn't exactly raise the chances, but...

I think it could be implemented without too much difficulty, just temporarily change the shiny rate after it's use, like the opposite of how a repel alters the encounter rate. I think it would be a good addition for sure.

The idea has been mentioned before. I believe JV wanted to add something along the lines of a PokeRadar/Shiny Charm to reward people who complete the dex.

Ooh, now I really want to complete the dex, dem shinies gonna be mine after the game is finished.

I hope completing the pokedex doesn't include capturing both male and female versions of each pokemon o.o

No, just like in the maingame Pokedex completion will be regarded as catching one of every species. That should be more than enough work to make you earn it!

Even if, once you had one of either sex you could breed for the other. It would be harder, but not impossible.

Shouldn't be too hard, running around the region for 12 hours with a ton of ultra balls should do the job.

I seem to recall reading in another post that it took roughly 80-90 hours to complete the PokeDex (obviously only the Pokemon that are available at the moment).

As for the shiny-finding items, I like them being attainable after the completion of the PokeDex.

Something along the lines of the shiny charm would be nice. Let's wait and see.
