Lag issues wherever I go?

So I've been having some problems with lag in the game pretty much wherever I go except in really small buildings :/ I tried to find how to fix it on the forums but all it said was to change the quality settings in the options menu, which I can't seem to find? :L
So I was wondering if it was just my computer with the problems and if so what can I do to fix it? Thanks

The next upcoming patch will have tweaks and performance enhancements for many parts of the game, so hopefully it will run better. In my experience, it happens mostly in areas with fog/weather effects, or in large maps. It's worst in the area around Route 05, since that route is an entire interconnected area that spans from Route 06 to Venesi City. The game tries to hold that entire area in its memory, which causes lag and weird effects on some scripts. We're breaking this up into several separate areas, which should hopefully help with the lag a bit.

Ah that sounds great, thanks it does seem to happens lot around water as well - so Vernisi has 2 things that mess with it :L
Also, why did you remove the toggle for lower quality in the options menu from before?

Not sure, I'll ask JV. That might be a solution for players whose computers are having trouble with running the game.

The lag in areas with water may be caused by the 3D sound effects as well (that play when you are near a body of water).

Yeah I was just wondering because posts from years back on some sites have you saying that fixes it to others with the same lag problems :S

Yeah I thought that but I turned my sound on mute? Then again the water moves as well, so it might be because of all the moving pixels? :L

Doubt it's the autotiles, it's most likely the 3D sound that's doing it. Even if you have the audio muted, the script is still running.

3D sound? And I was not aware of that, probably the problem then :L no matter, I can work with it until the next update comes around - best of luck with it, I'm loving the game so far

I'm experiencing the same thing with mine, and don't see the option to adjust quality.

Just thought I'd let y'all know. Loving the game, so don't mind the wait through the lag.
