Since we already have the 4.2 beta version of the game. Did they include the 8th gym and the Pokemon League or no?

The 8th Gym Leader and town is still in development, we are working on it right now but we can't guarantee that it will be out before v5.0.

Maybe, or you could start a new save file and try a Nuzlocke run, or work on completing the PokeDex.
