Game crashes on startup

I'm trying to run version 4.2.  I patched the game via the patcher, and immediately after trying to launch the game, either through the launcher or the .exe, it says "uranuim.exe has stopped working". I'm running windows version 8.1.

Your antivirus probably has flagged Uranium.exe or something of the sorts, check for that.

I scanned both .exes and it says both of them are fine
