Because it doesnt stay there for ever. It changes according to the new gifts. I think only two at a time are there.

They wouldn't be able to make money from this because GameFreak own all rights to the pokemon series and getting profit from another companies franchise could result in a legal dispute that'd have the game removed.

Is anyone aware if this is currently ongoing or has it been ceased? I'd be interested in partaking once I get high enough levels, but it's looking like it's not happening anymore based on some of the comments...

You can still challenge him if you want to.
But as he he has crossed through the part of the reward, I don´t think he´ll be handing out more rewards.

After 5-6 attempts, finally did it. With a Tier 5 team too no less.

Um...It says no trainer with that ID exists.

I can beat it with my mons but my team Lv is 9...

Is this event still valid? Because if so, I may try (although even before joining the forums, I tried but it said no such online ID exists).
