Game Breaking "Check for Updates" Bug

GAME BREAKING BUG: I beat the 7 gyms a while ago, and came back to Pokemon Uranium today because I heard that the new mystery gift was a mega stone. I looked up "Patcher" in my programs and files so that I could update, but I couldn't find it. I opened the game, and selected "check for updates." This is where it all went wrong. True, it told me that I was a version behind, but it also completely deleted my game file. What do I do?!

Had you downloaded the version that the patcher came with (4.2) or had you been using a version prior to 4.2?

Edit: I think I was playing on 4.2, but I believe that I originally downloaded it before 4.2

Your patcher should be located under C/Program Files (x86)/Pokemon Uranium Team/Pokemon Uranium Beta 4.2

If you don't have it, you will need to download it.

How do I go about downloading it? Should I just re-install the game? And is there any way that you know of that I can get my save data back?

If your saved data is not in C/Users/yourname/SavedGames/Pokemon Uranium then I'm sorry but it is gone.

In my game it updates the game automatically when I restart the game, the Patcher just shows up whem there are updates!
