Should Rename the Wonder Trade

I think you should rename the wonder trade to Chyinmunk trade because that's all people ever trade there.

Aw, that's rude! I'm doing my best to populate Wonder Trade with some cool Pokemon from the later portions of the game... in fact, I'll take it as my personal quest to do that, with some starters and other cool 'mons. (I definitely put some shinies up there, at least...)

Yea but you alone cannot make it to where everyone stops sending the beginning pokemon. Plus some people gotta get really lucky to get the pokemon you send. I love the game but you should limit the wonder trade for like having your third gym badge or something to try and get a different selection of pokemon sent through it

Yea, you get other pokemon every once in a while but mainly chyinmunk.

I haven't wonder traded yet. But tonight, after work, I promise to put some non-Chyinmunk pokemon out into Wonderland.
(Of course, hinges on whether WT will work using Wine - I imagine so, but no idea). Once I can breed pokemon, I'll be putting a lot of Eevees out there, because no one can have too many Eevees!! b^_^d

I also agree that the Wonder Trade shouldn't be opened until after a little more of the game gets played. I feel like Kevlar town is just too soon.

I did my part today in Wonder Trading a good number of interesting non-Chyinmunk Pokemon away, but in the process discovered that the game crashes after hatching an egg so filling WT with baby starters is a no-go, at least for this beta version :[

EDIT: Actually it turns out the issue was with nicknaming newly-hatched Pokemon. So as long as you don't nickname them (and use the Name Rater instead) you should be fine.

I agree with you that it would be a good idea to limit access to the Online features until the player has at least reached Nowtoch and/or gotten their first Gym Badge, if only to increase the diversity of Wonder Trade returns. I'll run it by JV.

I agree with the idea of holding it back til after a badge or so. I think the problem might just be that a lot of people are getting into the game with all the attention it's getting with 4.0 releasing. Odds are a lot of those Chyinmunk traders are really excited to try out the Wonder Trade and just throwing in whatever's handy!

My starter in my main file is female, so perhaps one day when I have some time I'll breed off some Raptorch and have a field day sending those out to people.

Waiting for the first gym badge would be nice, but Kevlar City could be good too.

I think I would also suggest for the 2nd floor of pokecenters that it be remodelled slightly. Both Sisters could share a single area right? That would give more space if another feature is added at some point, like minigames and stuff

As promised, I put three pokes into Wonderland (and in exchange, I received 2 Chyins and a Mankey - ha). Unfortunately, I'm still in beginning of game, so these are route 3 pokes, but better diversity should help encourage others, I hope. As I progress, I'll drop more pokes in the WT stream.

I thought wonder trade was the normal trade, so I put in my lvl 40 Gargryph and got back a lvl 3 chyinmunk,, so i made someone very happy ,, luckily i had 2 gargryphs

You are not the only ones adding non-Chyinmunk pokemon! I think it's improving, too, because in five trades, I've only received one Chyinmunk! ...and other early-stage Pokemon, but hey! Improvement!

i want to put up my shiny level 52 umbreon but not gonna worth it

i just sent out 5 lvl1 eevees as well as a vaporeon, flareon and jolteon and i didn't received any chyinmunk! although i got at least 4 mankeys. wonder trade's improving!

When I get back from work i'm gonna continue breeding eletuxes and put them on the wonder trade,, think i'll breed at least 20 of them

Today I added at least 7 Orchynx and 7 Eletux... I've got a box that's full of Chyinmunk, Barewl, and Mankey.

Maybe we should add Owten and Smore to Route 01, would at least increase the variety there...
