Friends Online Status?

Me and my friends have spent the last hour or so searching for the way to battle each other. Unfortunately for us we always appear to be offline when we attempt this. We may all just be dumb and blind (( highly likely )) but we cant figure out how to appear online. Anyone have any tips for what to do? (( We have all connected and are all in fact in each others friends list ))

While I don't know if this has an effect on whether or not you appear online, I know that there are issues with battling online if your system clock is not properly synced.

I'm sorry, still trying to understand this (( again sorry if I come off dumb as hell )) By system clocks you mean the ones naturally on our computers right? If that is the case, we are all neighbors so I do not understand why that would be an issue. And what do you mean by do not unfocus the game screen? Like.. just wait in the Online Lobby and dont do anything while waiting for someone to connect?

By don't unfocus the game screen, he means make sure to not click outside of the game window while trying to interact online. If you hadn't noticed while playing the game regularly, doing so causes the game to pause and will cause you to have connection issues if you are interacting online.
As for your system clocks, they're probably synced correctly, but you can check by: left clicking on your clock -> selecting the change date and time settings -> select the internet time tab -> check and make sure it's set to automatically synchronize

Alright, A new question for you guys! I'm sorry! We have done this and its starting to work for some of my friends, but when I try to connect my icon turns yellow for them, will be green for a few seconds, and then go offline, is there anything that might cause this?
