Lol to the topic. But what is everyone's Favorite part of Pokemon Uranium? Go ahead, gush. as a wanna-be writer for the game industry I'd love to hear what about this game makes people tick. (this is my excuse for creating this. but, I do actually want to hear what people like about it.)

as for myself, I love two major parts about this game- How loved it feels, and the music. The game is really well made. yes there are errors, but I can overlook them when taking into account the fact that the story remains focused. on top of that, you can tell time was put into this. I have yet to see the game conflict with the canon pokemon lore, and everything is well fleshed out. the characters are decently thought out, (even though it is a tad shallow, Shelton's change of heart is absolutely glorious), and every thing just kinda screams " The creators loved making this this!"
and the music. Oh, the music. While, yes, there is a bit of a problem with it being very noticeable when it loops, just oh. I'll find myself bobbing my head every where I go. If you listen closely, you'll even hear a few nods to music from the other games here and there. so yeah, my gush fest is over, anyone else wanna spill?

For me, it's the Fakemon. When I found this game, I'd gone looking for games with good original designs, because I'd played a couple that... well, their designs weren't so good.

So I was searching big Pokemon forums for fangames and came across Uranium, and it was the only one there that had designs that appealed to me and was fun enough to stick with.  Of course, designs are subjective and won't appeal to everyone, but for me I really like the overwhelming majority of Tandor's originals, and from a project made mainly by two people that's pretty impressive.

I agree with your sentiment that there's a lot of love in this project. I livestreamed the game for fun with some friends when I started out, and JV and Twitch showed up to get a feel for how people were perceiving their project. Every time I've streamed after I drop them a line because I'm impressed at how dedicated they are to Uranium, and I feel some pride in the fact that I can help with the testing process and contribute toward making the game better in my own little way.

This game is more down-to-earth, realistic than any official Pokemon game released by Nintendo. For instance, when you walk into a home, one of the inhabitants gets upset that you just barged in. Also, the whole theme of the game - irresponsibility of mankind causing destruction of native fauna - is a parallel to real life, where humans have been putting themselves first before the earth the entire time we have been on it. The diversity of Pokemon and very convincing "Fakemon" in this game are awesome, too, but honestly, having a completely unique plot, unexpected dialogs and a brand-new world to explore are the most important factors in flow-factor for me.

I had a whole rant, but I'll summarize- the reality is great, and what improves upon it is that the devs are willing to go where Nintendo isn't. things like religion, death, illness, and other un-idealist qualities are present, the very idea of which Nintendo shuns, because their afraid of having anything negative said against them. really, with their stance on things like this, it's surprising Bayonetta 2 appeared on a Nintendo platform.

I personally enjoyed how much of the dialog seemed more aimed at an older demographic than the normal Pokemon games. I'm an older"ish" guy and the normal Pokemon games, while great for nostalgia, lack that appeal.

I especially enjoyed the part, where Theo gets the less stronger pokemon than you. This difference to the other games makes it a lovely and fair game.
Besides, I like all the little easter eggs that appear here.
Also I like those creative new tasks in the gyms and the mysteries for example that guy in the pub or the cameraman.
The thing with Mega Evolving is confusing at first and I dunno why we need to press Z to make it Mega Evolve but it makes the game much more awesome and epic, too. :3

I love that this game brings a darker side to the Pokemon franchise! I never expected my main characters mum to be "killed" in a nuclear explosion right before the game starts (I don't enjoy it for that if that's what you think lol.) I really think this game makes the characters and their stories feel more human in nature (If that makes sense.). Also I've ended up growing to like our rival, Theo, in the end because he's not a generic Gary type who's all about trying to make you feel like a loser and how he'll always be "better" than you. Theo should have his own game, in my opinion Very Happy

I've got a counter-opinion so to speak on Theo. I love that they made him almost like an annoying little brother. He's a lot like any kid who first played pokemon, "what my rival gets a pokemon of a better type WHY WHY WHY", or throws a tantrum when beat by a sibling
Hell, he feels like my little sister when we played pokemon together. Getting really pissed when losing, and wants to be better at battling (not that it makes them a better person you know, but wants to win).

I love that the region is connected, that it truly does build, and that the game is a human one. Towns try to feel better than each other, people suffer, people prosper, life is life
