What to do after endgame in 4.0?

Hi, i got the game a couple days ago and i've been playing the living hell out of it.
I've just beaten the 7th gym, and i feel like there's not much to do anymore. Before gym 7 i could farm my pokemon on Theo before the labyrinth to prepare for 7th gym, but after that gym that is no longer an option. I want to train up some of the fakemon as well as old pokemon to their mega evolution as well as i want to train my newly evolved nucleon (thanks JV for the shiny eevee).

So i just wanted to know, does anyone has a good way to farm exp in preparation for the later updates and releases? Or just an activity to do in general? I'm only concidering shiny hunting.

There are a few things to do after the beta ends. I right now am Using my newly obtained HMs and re exploring the region in search of various Megastones, there are about 10 or so scattered about the region. There is also a special Key item That can be obtained from Legen town that replaces Rock smash.
