Breeding and Nuclears

Post by Animus on 2015-06-07, 22:53

Hey guys, caught a strong Nuclear Gligar, and was wondering how Breeding works with the Nuclear types.
IVs: 24hp/29atk/23def/30spatk/25spdef/3spd

All it needs is speed, so I can work with generations over time if I want, but does Breeding transfer Nuclear types? Can you even breed them? Thanks for the help in advance! Smile

Also willing to trade this Gligar, on the off chance someone is interested. Doubt it tho.

The Day Care won't accept Nuclear types because they are feral/dangerous.

As Bocajian said, the Day-Care doesn't take Nuclears.  However, in upcoming versions, you will get another chance to acquire Nuclear Pokemon.  Perhaps there will be a possibility of breeding them in the future, too; who knows?

Yours does have great IV's -- attack IV's are something that I wish that my Gliscor had.  Gliscor outspeeds most opponents, but you should always try to keep your Nuclear Pokemon over-leveled.

Speed is a big thing for Gligar/scor and Nuclear pokemon in general. With an IV like that I can't really expect to use it sadly Sad

In a playthrough, you can definitely use it.  IV's aren't impactful enough to be a dealbreaker in a playthrough.  Even if it doesn't have a speed-boosting nature nor good speed IV's, you still have EV's.  Gliscor has 95 Speed, so you'll basically always outspeed your opponents, and to outspeed opponents like Archilles or Daikatuna, you just need to be slightly overleveled -- your EV's will take care of the rest.

By being slightly overleveled, you should outspeed basically everything except for Inflagetah.

That being said, if you have a regular team, you should use Nucleon as your Nuclear-type.

I don't really plan on using Nuclear types in my play through, but I get your point. Is 95 speed with such a low IV still faster than that many?? I would think not. Surprised

Most Pokemon aren't super fast in this version. Barand's speed is okay, Pajay is pretty fast, but neither has 95 speed. I'd agree with Masato here, in that most of the stuff you will outrun, with the exceptions of Archilles, Daikatuna, and Tracton (two of which you probably shouldn't tangle with anyway), and of course Inflagetah. If you want those IVs though, go for Nucleon, as you can breed Eevee until you're blue in the face (I know, because I have, still am, and will be until I find appropriate Eevee for Leafeon, Umbreon, and Sylveon).
