What is good against Tracton?

My party keeps getting mauled by him whenever I face one..

Where do you constantly face one?

I've met him a lot up in the east side of Tandor, but there's also that steel gym. I generally beat him, but he takes out a good amount of my team while trying to K.O. him.

I've met him in snowbank town area more than anywhere so yeah. I just need something that, if I run into it again, I can take it out well and fast.

Chimaconda and that petrify is really useful against it, not to mention it's bulky enough to take any steel hit and a unboosted dragon move can't oneshot. A Baariette should oneshot with a Fighting type move, and a ground type can beat it if it can survive a hit. But I just use chimaconda.

I used my own tracton :3 but yeah he's weak to fighting and ground. Electux might be ok, electric moves are normal effectiveness and steel is 1/4 damage to him

Eletux/Electruxo isn't actually that good against him. He can tank hits, but electric and water should actually be 1/2 effective against the dragon/steel combo. Your best bet is probably a Baariette or a Drilgann.

The most I can think of eletruxo doing is paralyzing, therefore crippling, and shooting of neutral ice beams or burning with scald.

With Drilgann that is. Electruxo can kind of just tank the hits, otherwise they'll not do much.

Burn it and it's done.

fire and ground attacks should work

I love that we are all just listing off steel types weaknesses like he doesn't already know. XD

Of course you guys are, heck tracton isn't even weak to fire, just neutral with a chance to burn from most of those moves.

as i fought tracton i just 1 hitted him with a fire skill

That is because it has good defensive typing but not good defensive stats, you can 1 hit with any not resisted decent attack honestly.
