About the Jackdeary evolution line

Its pokedex entry makes it seem like it's an incredibly rare pokemon. I may have been very lucky, but I kept finding a lot of Jackdeary's on route 13. I recommend reducing its spawn rate to fit its lore/pokedex entry better. Another thing that bothered me is that its evolution, Winotinger, is very easy to get since you can get an unlimited supply of carrotwine. This isn't neccesarily bad, but evolution items are usually rarer(?)

Of course I don't mean to force my recommendations on to you guys so take this suggestion with a grain of salt. I just felt like that this pokemon doesn't seem as rare as the lore of the game seems to state. ^^

You might be right, however I want to make it available for players who still need a fairy or fighting-type on their team. Perhaps we should make it rarer though.

It'd be interesting if it had a sidequest. Maybe adding an Inn to Silverport Town, and after having ordered a drink or two, you overhear rumors of there being Jackdeary in the woods nearby.
The others laugh the poor drunkard off, because they're not only rare, but some still think them imaginary.
You can make a bet with them that the drunk man is right. Temporarily all your money will be held "as collateral" at the bar until you bring a Jackdeary back. When you get back they'll be shocked, give your your money back (and you'll gain .5 times your money too), and they'll all have chipped in to buy you a bottle of Carrot Wine.

Carrot Wine can be bought at the bar after, but it's not cheap.
If you talk to the drunk man a couple days later, he'll give you a Winotigerite. All he knows is he saw some Jackdeary dancing around it.

The specifics for the mega stone would be that the next time cycle (like morning) after you finish the sidequest, he'll be hungover. You can get him a lemonade to ease the pain or not. During mid-day he'll be fine, and thank you for showing the other bar patron's they were wrong. Then you get the stone.

I don't know if it'd be hard to impliment, but by making there be a specific time period to catch them would provide a limiting factor, and in addition work in a lore-friendly sidequest.

Oh those are some really cool ideas. I love the Jackdeary evolution line and something like this would make it even cooler.

Yeah, but the point he's making has to do with the fact that, according to the dex, Jackdeary is supposed to be rare and so should Winotinger. Cocancer/Cocaralm aren't exactly rare so you should be able to get as many as you want.

All I'm saying is he did mention that you can get infinite Carrot Wine, and Coconut Milk is just as much of a problem because as soon as you evolve your Cocaran, you can evolve it again.

I like this, makes a lot of sense and would provide cash for struggling trainers. Plus, time-triggered quests are already implemented in the game, like the UFO hunt.

Yeah, but it doesn't have to be easy.
You're a minor, buying wine. You probably are going to have to pay extra, and say something like "It's for my grandma" or "No sir, I won't drink any". So why not make it worth around 10000P

Additionally I think that Coconut Milk should be changed. It should be a more expensive item in all honesty. It is an evolutionary item, so why not make it 2500 or 5000

You can also evolve an eevee immediately after getting it in any pokemon game, you can evolve Porygon into PorygonZ within 5 minutes, and you can evolve a number of pokemon relatively quickly.
Then you add in at what level pokemon learn moves, their stats, and it becomes something worth planning and thinkinbg about unless you want dex completion and will box the pokemon
Tere are numerous threads online about when is the right level or time to evolve Clefairy into Clefable, and Togetic into Togekiss.

Okies I now feel stupid. In Venisi City there's a semisidequest that is basically this XD

Trust me, if people want it they will get it. I caught almost an entire box full of Eevee, and they're much rarer than Jackdeary.

You caught an entire box of eevee?! How long did you take? I tried catching them but they are really hard to catch even with low health (red HP bar), status effect and ultra ball. I only managed to catch 3 male eevee.

I caught over 20 in an ultimately fruitless search for a female. Finally I gave up on that but found one that would breed with a Ditto, and I've bred about 18 more so far (I finally got a few female Eevee too) and won't stop any time soon. It took probably about 5-6 total hours of play to catch them, spread out over about a week.

Oh, you can breed with Ditto? I had no idea! I have 2 Ditto so I could give it a try. Thanks for your advice, hehe.

Ditto is incredibly useful for breeding purposes, it's what makes breeding in pokemon what it is today.
