My In-Game Team Sucks >_<
So I've been playing through this game very recently, after not having played for quite a while. I just barely, bearly beat the 6th Gym Leader, walking out of there with nothing but an 8 HP Corsoreef, when it struck me - my team is terrible Before, when there weren't so many Pokemon in the Uranium Dex, I figured that my lineup was fine, but seeing all the new, unique Pokemon makes my team look pretty bad in comparison.
It's a struggle just to advance, and I would have already hit a wall without the shiny S51-A, since it's EV-trained. Anyway, I was just wondering what Pokemon you guys would recommend to me. I'm not aware of many of the ones introduced after version 3.1, so I know that I'm probably missing out on a lot of stuff. There's no need to suggest any specific changes to my team as a whole, but even just a list of fairly popular/powerful 'mons would be pretty helpful Thanks in advance for anyone who responds

I'd recommend Tubareel since it's a real pain to kill and it has strong moves too. Or maybe one of the fossil pokemon that you can get in the the cave at the beach near Rochfale Town!
Re: My In-Game Team Sucks >_<
Tubareel, huh? I remember that one - gave me a lot of trouble while trying to get to Venesi City (surfing ninjas are an awesome idea btw). It seems pretty powerful, and it had incredibly physical defense. However, I think I'll probably stick to Corsoreef over it, since it can heal itself (unless it also can and I'm not aware).
As for fossils, I wasn't aware that there were any! I assume that the elephant in your signature is probably one, but is there another one? I'd run off towards it, but I'm SRing the Eevee in Venisi so it's gonna take a bit of time XD
Thinking about it, I'm probably willing to drop everything except Corsoreef, and the Grass starter, since they work well together. Though I'll probably be using the S51-A anyway. Musharna's great, but I might need that slot for something more diverse so I'll probably need to rotate around or something. Looking at the Pokedex, Winotinger seems fairly powerful, being Fighting/Fairy and all. Still weighing my options though

The fossils are Dermafrost and Theriamp. Theriamp is a rock/electric type and is very fast, well Dermafrost is a rock/ice type and can deal heavy blows well taking a hit (it's good with avalanche). They are a mamoth and a sloth, and evolve from Snopach and Slothohlm. I'd recommend some of the powerful water types (one even has a mega) but you said you want Corsareef so whatever.

Oh, alright. I'll look into the Electric one, since I had an Ampharos before but had to box it due to being too weak. Also, I very recently caught a Selkid near Venesi while moving around, and I noticed that it's Water/Fairy. Assuming that it can evolve, can it or its evolution learn a recovery move? I'd honestly replace my Corsoreef with it if it could, since the typing pairs better with Metalynx. But I'm not sure if it's worth it if it can't.

I don't think it can, but it's evolution is the one with the mega and I'm thinking about adding one to my team until 5.0 when I can get a Yatagaryu.

You could look into a Drilgann or a Baariette. They are strong Dark/Ground and Dark/Fighting types, respectively. Drilgann evolves from Modrille and Baariette is the final evolution of the Baashaun line. Sadly you missed the Shiny Modrille perfect IVs mystery gift.

S51-A can be a good asset to your team if you teach him Dark Pulse, which you should have found the TM for already. For type coverage, I suggest adding a Jackdeary to your team, its Fairy/Fighting typing will give you some good coverage and you can evolve it immediately into a Winotinger if you use the Carrot Wine item on it.
Your levels are actually pretty good for this stage in the game. The level curve goes up quickly, but good team diversity can counteract that.

Oh, alright then. I might honestly consider it anyway, but Corosoreef is the strongest on my team so far. But it's a bit weak offensively compared to what I imagined, which is a bit of a let down. Additionally, I do happen to have Leftovers for a little bit of healing, but I don't know... I generally like defensive Pokemon (hence the Metalynx), and I'm trying to add a few to even out my team a bit.

Ah, I'm not worried about the Modrille thing XD Didn't know there was an event for it, but tbh Drilgann doesn't really suit me, so I don't think I would have used it anyway (would have been great for breeding though >_<)

Alright. I don't have Dark Pulse, but I'll be on the lookout for it. And I just caught a Jackdeary, so integrating Winotinger into my party shouldn't be too hard I'm gonna think of a few other things my team could use, and try to look for any solutions.
EDIT: Nevermind, found it XD Was right outside of where I was training =p

You are only a bit underleveled. Other than that your team looks fine. It's also cool you use stuff like Corsoreef and Musharna since not many people use them.

Yeah, there was a thing between 3.0 and 4.0 where a couple index numbers were changed around, meaning that, for the few people who had one, Seikamater were changed into Munna.
I was lucky enough to get mine fixed by JV since I was the one who discovered it and because I had the first official Seikamater among anyone who played, according to them. So I can confirm firsthand that the Seikamater to Munna change was a thing that happened.

Re: My In-Game Team Sucks >_<
Yeah, the Musharna was once a Seikamater that I evolved from a Sponee. Luckily, the Sponee had a good stat set-up for a Musharna anyway, and since it is one of my favorite Pokemon, I can't really be too upset over the whole thing XD It would have sucked if it was some random Pokemon I didn't want though
Anyway, as an update, this is my current team at the moment. Survived an evil scientist's kidnapping, and I'm currently trying to not die in all of this Blizzard spam, but the team works much better now

You may want to level up a bit before the Snowbank Gym.
And a bit after you are done with such. I expect no mercy from the final gym...

Those fairies should be a big help against the Dragons in the upcoming Gym though
Re: My In-Game Team Sucks >_<
Well, half of them are ice types with a couple other random ones mixed in, but it's mostly a dragon gym.Involuntary Twitch wrote:Those fairies should be a big help against the Dragons in the upcoming Gym though

Even so, the levels could use a little buffer from how they are atm. Wouldn't hurt.
Re: My In-Game Team Sucks >_<
Whew, finally finished the beta I'd just like to say thank you guys for helping me out with team suggestions when I needed them I didn't have much of an idea what I was doing so I was lost when it came to options. Here's my team right after obtaining Mega Evolution (Synchro Summon! Naturia Beast!):
Winotinger pulled more than its fair share of weight towards the end - basically saved me from getting completely wrecked by the Fafninter/Ampharos double beatdown (though I still would have lost if Eletruxo's T-bolt didn't get that clutch paralysis) XD And I never did get to evolve Selkid, but it's fairly strong with an Eviolite so it wasn't too bad (still gonna try to evolve it later though). Every other member also helped pull through, but I do have to say that Musharna's lagging behind, unfortunately It's sad, but I'll probably need to replace it with something faster, since Winotinger is actually the fastest Pokemon I have. After getting nearly wiped out by that Fafninter, I'm starting to think that I should go out and catch one for myself XD Could always use the Dragon coverage and all.
Anyway, thanks for helping me out guys XD You know, you all seem like pretty cool people - may need to hang around here for a while

You should level up your Pokemon a bit before the 7 gym leader. You should add a ground type Pokemon who knows earthquake or magnitude cause the gym battle is a double battle and his final Pokemon is mega ampharos Lv.62
