Gellin

Hey guys! Wanna start a post for Gellin cause I really love this Pokemon. Its appereance is so cool and its stats aren’t bad. So let’s go!
It haven’t got a megaevolution but it got an advantage, you don’t have to use the mega stone on it so you can give it leftovers for example.

Item: Leftovers

Nature: Modest (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)

EVs: You can increase your Sp.Atk, HP, Def, Sp.Def. I think whatever of those will be good. In my opinion, I’ll boost its Defence and HP, so it becomes more bullky and its Sp.Def is high as a basic stat.

Basic stats:
HP: 90                                                      Speed: 85
Atk: 35                                                      Sp. Atk: 120
Def: 75                                                      Sp. Def: 100

As you can see, it got nice special atk and defense, its hp is high too and its speed isn’t that bad. Gellin can out speed a lot of Pokemon and it doesn’t need to make use of its ability.
The effect of Gellin’s ability, Chlorophyl, is that Gellin’s speed gets boosted by the sun, so a good option for him could be Sunny Day.
I’ve thought about a few movesets that can suit up well with Gellin.
1) Sunny Day (Chlorophyl) / Thunderbolt (STAB) / Gigadrain (STAB) / Synthesis (It heals more than recover if there’s sun)
2) Thunderbolt (STAB) / Gigadrain (STAB) / Recover (more PP than synthesis and doesn’t depends on the weather) / Thunder wave (It doesn’t get the speed boost from the ability now, so you can maybe slowdown the target with this)

There’re a lot more options, you can change Thunderbolt for Thunder if u feel so lucky but remember that if it’s raining, your thunder will gain 100% accuracy but your synthesis will heal ½ of its base healing (I don’t know if thunder’s accuracy decreases if there’s sun). You can also change Gigadrain for Energy ball, the difference is that energy ball have 5 bore base power and can decrease the targets special defence but I still prefer Gigadrain cause its heal. Thanks to it, you become more bulky.
Another option will be change the thunder wave for a stat booster move like Calm mind. Sincerely, I haven’t used it yet but as far as I’m concerned, it must be a nice option. But Gellin got 4 types that damage it x2, so I don’t really recommend boost it cause they can change to a faster sweeper like Inflagetah and they will burst Gellin down or force you to switch it and lose all the stacks. However, Gellin can resist an effective move and use a thuder wave or simply predict the enemy switch and go for the TW instantly.

Gellin's got a lot of advantages: a unique typing, powerful stats to back it up and a decently wide movepool. It's built to do really well in the sun. Here's my suggestion for a movepool:

Gellin
Gellin @ Heat Rock
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Bold (+Def -Atk) / Modest (+Sp.Atk -Atk)
EVs: Sp.Atk, HP
- Sunny Day
- Solarbeam
- Synthesis
- Thunderbolt

With Chlorophyll-boosted 170 Base Speed and spamming one-turn Solarbeams, this thing is a really powerful Special Sweeper. The STAB Thunderbolt is great for coverage as well, I don't recommend Thunder because the accuracy drops to something like 50% in bright sun. Bold nature is good because it props up its somewhat mediocre defense, hopefully allowing it to survive the one turn necessary to setup the Sunny Day.

The only thing that I can think that naturally counters it is Mega Inflagetah, who outspeeds at Base 175 and can potentially OHKO with Flame Impact. There are few, if any, Pokemon that resist both its STABS, although Cocancer is one.

I'm not a big fun of the sunny day but it's a great movepool too!
