Since the guy standing next to the lake in Burold Town talks about how anything could live in the deepest parts of the lake, I was thinking maybe there's a plan to make one of the legendary deep-sea trio live in it.

Maybe. I hadn't thought about that so it would be cool if you could Dive in the lake and find one of them. I know on the original thread where they were brainstorming the trio, JV mentioned that they could all fit in East Tandor since it still needed to be filled out a bit but that could have changed since.
